Visiting

Visa-free for up to short stays. Travel on a passport valid for your whole stay, with a return or onward ticket and proof you can support yourself.

Passport validity:Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay with at least one blank page.

Heads-up:Since 1 January 2025, visa-exempt nationals must obtain an approved ETA-IL travel authorisation before arrival via Israeli-controlled entry points.

At the border:Israel controls all entry; show your passport plus the Israeli entry slip or printed entry card (passports are generally not stamped) at the airport or land crossing such as the Allenby/King Hussein Bridge.

Working remotely

No dedicated nomad visa; the usual route is a standard residence permit.

Tax and residency

A non-Palestinian is treated as resident after roughly 183 days in Palestine in the tax year (about 120 days for Palestinians); residents are generally taxed on worldwide income with possible foreign tax relief under treaties, while non-residents are taxed only on Palestine-sourced income.(estimate)

The UK decides residence with its Statutory Residence Test (days in the UK plus your ties). As a non-resident you are usually taxed only on UK income; where one exists, a double-tax treaty with the destination decides who taxes what.

Practical

Healthcare:Public Ministry of Health services are basic and strained by the conflict, so foreigners should carry comprehensive private travel and medical insurance with evacuation cover.
